THE LEGACY OF ANNIE T. DOE

In Loving Memory of Annie T. Doe
Sunrise: May 1936 – Sunset: September 20, 1989
A devoted mother of nine and grandmother to many, Annie T. Doe was a resilient businesswoman in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County, Liberia. Though she never received a formal classroom education, she used proceeds from selling used clothes to educate all nine of her children.
She deeply believed in the power of learning and became a quiet but powerful advocate for education in her community.
Today, the Annie T. Doe Memorial Foundation honors her legacy by continuing her mission—providing educational opportunities to women and children in economically challenged communities.
Her life was proof that you don’t need a degree to change the world. You need heart, faith, and purpose.
Meet Saya Doe Sio

In August 1998, she immigrated to the United States, determined to build a better future. Today, Saya holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, an MBA, and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Project Management Professional (PMP).
Her journey from humble beginnings to professional success fuels the Foundation’s mission to uplift others through opportunity, faith, and education.
