Empowering Women to Rebuild Communities

Annie T. Doe Memorial Foundation Key Programs

We recently launched a new Women’s Empowerment Program in Interior Decoration and Fashion Design, now training 150 women from various impoverished communities across Buchanan. This six-month program equips women with creative, practical skills to start businesses, find employment, and build brighter futures for their families.

Empowered women create empowered communities

Interior Design

Our Interior Design Program empowers women with creative and marketable skills to transform spaces and build thriving businesses. Participants learn the fundamentals of color, layout, home styling, and event decoration, gaining hands-on experience that leads to income-generating opportunities. This program not only inspires creativity—it restores confidence, independence, and dignity through entrepreneurship. When women design with purpose, communities are transformed.

Computer Literacy

The Foundation offers computer lab and reading room facilities, exposing students from the community to computers and technology for the first time Computer literacy for underserved women and girls Technology is the future, and we’re preparing our girls to be part of it. Our Computer Literacy Program introduces high school seniors to digital skills many are learning for the first time. Upon completion, they receive certification in Microsoft Office Suite, boosting their confidence and employability. More than 50% of our graduates gain jobs after the program, helping support themselves and their families. Empowerment through education is how we break the cycle of poverty, one keystroke at a time.

Fashion Design

Our Fashion Design Training Program currently serves 150 women from impoverished communities across Buchanan.
