ABOUT OUR SCHOOL

With the collective help of our friends, partners, and sponsors; we intend to fight poverty at all cost leaving no child behind through our enriched free Christian educational programs. These enriched educational programs for K1 to 12th grade include fourteen areas of studies: Bible, English, Mathematics, Science, History/Social Studies, Geography, Civics, Literature/Reading, Vocabulary, Writing, Phonics, Computer, Drawing, and Physical Education. In addition, our students are provided with free daily lunch, free backpacks, free uniforms, free footwear and first aid care.

With the support of sponsors and partners, several major construction projects have been completed over the years:

  • In 2012, the Foundation erected a 6,000 square foot, 8-class room Elementary School with modern bathrooms, mini library, and an office.

  • In 2014, the academy opened its doors to the first 75 underprivileged children tuition free.

  • In 2021, a modern Junior High School was constructed that includes a 600-capacity seated auditorium, a new library, office space, a computer lab, 2 modern bathrooms and 3 classrooms.

  • In 2023, the Senior High School was built to hold the last 3 classrooms for 10 th -12 th grade with the first class of 10 th graders filling the seats at the start of the 2023-24 academic calendar year. The Annie T. Doe Memorial Academy will have its first graduating class in 2026.

By 2025, the Academy will have 600 plus underprivileged students from Buchanan, Grand Bassa County enrolled.

With the Mission and Vision of the Annie T. Doe Memorial Foundation, these underprivileged students will be the first graduates in their families to receive a diploma and be able to attend higher education or get better paying jobs. These students have dreams of becoming teachers, doctors, nurses, politicians, journalist, and so much more. To read and see more about the students, continue to Our Stories.
